Bearly Sane ®

I'm a German born and raised American citizen who loves animals in a BIG way! I crochet and knit and recently started to paint again. I'm a good cook and the best Strudel baker. I love Christmas, especially baking German cookies and Stollen whilst listening to Christmas Music.

I am a crochet instructor at a local college. I enjoy spending time outside walking with my little fur baby and taking photographs . I also have a cat, but she's an indoor cat only.  I always bring her home some fresh grass that she loves and expects as soon as I walk in the door.

I am concerned for our environment, especially the disappearing honey bees. I try to raise honey bee awareness through my craft by making one of a kind crocheted bees. I donate to Honey Bee Research and wish everyone would care a little more about our world in which we live. I believe in conserving, preserving, recycling, reusing, upcycling, repurposing - all that stuff that our grandmothers already did. Goes to show you that everything old becomes new again. I only wish it were true with my body ;-) I love pickles and I LOVE to laugh because you will turn into a sour pickle if you don't have a sense of humor in this life.

I don't collect or make Teddy Bears (yet), but I think they are simply adorable - especially the real ones. We have not done right by the bears and they all need our protection! I plan to crochet a Teddy bear in the near future!
